Such Great Heights

listen to the Iron & Wine version...so good.

Hey guys and gals,

Last night, a lot of you came over to the house. I just wanted to let you all know how special you are to me. You are like family to me and I was a blessing to have so many people in the house, sharing a "meal", laughing and fellowshiping...it was community to the highest degree.

I was thinking this morning, and I was reminded how special good friends are. It is such a beautiful thing when people can expose their hearts in love to others, and upon reciprocation, edify and uplift the Gospel of Jesus through relationships. You guys emmulate the body to me and to others, and it's effects do not go unnoticed. Crazy growth and love has sprung up from months and months of intention life-together, and you, I, and world will never be the same because of it.

Just a bit of encouragement...

"2And you shall remember the whole way that the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. 3And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. 4Your clothing did not wear out on you and your foot did not swell these forty years. 5Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the LORD your God disciplines you. 6So you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God by walking in his ways and by fearing him."
Deuteronomy 8:2-6

Obedience is one of God's most cherished experiences with us. It shows us where we have submitted our hearts. It takes time and effort to truly be confident enough to live wholly by the Word of God, denying our physiological instincts along the way.

Rebelious Obedience!!!

Getting Things Started

Hey guys and gals,

I have created this blog for you to take time over the next few weeks to write in and let people know what God is doing and saying through this Daniel fast. This is by no means a resource to draw attention to the fast or to ourselves, but rather is a great way for us all to stay up-to-date and current about the great things that God is doing through this.

Some great things to post would be:
  • Things you feel like God is teaching you or wanting you to taech others about
  • Any scripture that is coming to life through this
  • Any encouragment for tough days in the fast
  • other lessons and insight that come for "detoxing" your mind and pouring into the Spirit of God
  • Fun stories or challenging ones that come from time spent fasting.
I love you guys so much. It is honor to walk through this with you. Please check in and add information as you desire to.

Much love.
-Wes
